Gaming is more than entertainment—it can be an introduction to the technology, creativity, and careers powering a rapidly evolving digital economy. Through its support of MomoCon, the City of Atlanta’s Office of Technology & Innovation creates opportunities for Atlanta Public Schools students to experience that world firsthand.
The MomoCon Student Experience introduces students to esports, gaming, digital media, and live production through hands-on exposure, competition, and behind-the-scenes learning. Students have an opportunity to experience a major industry event while gaining a closer look at the people, technology, and skills that bring gaming and live experiences to life.
For OTI, the experience is about reaching Atlanta’s future talent earlier. By connecting students with emerging industries and career possibilities while they are still exploring what their futures could look like, the initiative helps broaden awareness of pathways within Atlanta’s technology and creative economy.
OTI’s support of MomoCon is part of a broader effort to connect education, industry, and opportunity—helping Atlanta’s young people see themselves not only as consumers of technology and digital experiences, but as potential creators, competitors, and future professionals within these growing industries.
